In 2024, writing samples were collected from all primary, intermediate and secondary schools in the kāhui ako.
Writing prompt: "Think of a time when you did something special with your whānau or family. Write to recount that time."
At the literacy working party hui in 2024, literacy experts from across the schools came together to moderate ten randomly selected samples, using the e-asTTle marking rubric.
This moderation had two main purposes:
1. identify trends in progress across the kāhui ako
2. develop a combined moderation/marking resource tool to support the existing e-asTTle rubric
